Estate Planning & Probate

With over 40 years of legal experience, Crow & Associates can assist you with all of your estate planning needs. We are here to help prepare for, and recover from, life’s most tragic events. Our attorneys are skilled in compassionately and strategically guiding clients with both modest and generous estates through the process of planning for the preservation of their assets upon their death. We will assist you in gathering all the necessary information, draft the required documents, review the documents to ensure they fit your needs, and finalize the documents to be signed and witnessed in our office.

Our Estate Planning services include:

  • Last Will and Testament drafting. A Last Will and Testament may have many functions, one of which is to appoint a personal representative who will be tasked with gathering assets after your death, paying bills, maintaining accounts and property, and distributing the remaining assets. If you establish a trust for your assets, our will may also include a “pour-over” provision which ensures that your included assets will be covered by the trust.

  • Durable Power of Attorney, which establish who you wish to maintain and manage finances if you were to become incapable of handling those duties due to temporary or permanent incapacity.

  • Health Care Power of Attorney and Health Care Directives allow you to appoint individuals to be tasked with making heath care decisions in the case you were to become incapacitated as well as state specific wishes as to healthcare and end-of-life procedures.

  • Guardianship and Conservatorships arise when a person is incapable of caring for themselves - financially or medically- due to incapacity or minority. We are able to assist in establishing a guardianship or conservatorship to help care for your loved ones as well as maintain those important relationships to ensure ongoing care is provided.

  • Trust drafting. We are able to assist in drafting the various types of trust documents in order to ensure that your assets are distributed to your loved ones in the most simple and efficient way possible.

  • Transfer on Death Deeds. A transfer on death deed ensures that your property is immediately transferred to your chosen grantee without your loved ones needing to take additional steps to transfer the title.

When the worst comes to fruition, we are here to help ensure a smooth transition in the administration and distribution of your loved one’s estate by easing your burden and worry. Our attorneys are well-versed in the specific state laws surrounding estate administration and distribution, as well as the probate process. We will provide guidance through the process to strive for the simplest and quickest administration of your loved one’s estate.
